Yunyoung Hwang

RIKEN, Japan

Region:

Asia and Pacific

Field:

Magnetization Dynamics and Micromagnetics

Presentation title

Magnon–phonon hybrid systems in surface acoustic wave resonators

Yunyoung Hwang is currently a Postdoctoral Research at RIKEN, Center for Emergent Matter Science, working in hybridized systems related to magnons. He obtained his PhD in 2024 from the University of Tokyo, where he studied strong coupling between magnons and surface acoustic wave phonons. His research bridges hybrid physics and device functionality, focusing on non-Hermitian physics of magnonics and integration into physics-based computing.
