Takaaki Dohi received his Ph.D. in Engineering from Tohoku University. After a short postdoctoral appointment at Tohoku, he conducted research at Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz in Germany for two years. Since August 2022, he has been an Assistant Professor at the Research Institute of Electrical Communication, Tohoku University. His research explores spintronics and topological spin textures, with particular emphasis on antiferromagnetic skyrmions and their dynamics.
His work has been recognized with the Young Scientist Presentation Award from the Japan Society of Applied Physics, the Dean’s Award from the Graduate School of Engineering at Tohoku University, the Young Researcher Award from the School of Engineering and Electrical Communication, the title of Prominent Research Fellow at Tohoku University, and the Funai IT Award for Young Researchers.
