Presentation title
From Magnetism to Minds: Physics-informed Frameworks for Next-Generation Brain-inspired Computing
Dr. Sonal Shreya is a Tenure Track Assistant Professor leading the Intelligent Spintronics Devices and Systems group at the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, Aarhus University, Denmark. She earned her Ph.D. in Electronics and Communication Engineering from IIT Roorkee, India (2020), and her M.Tech. in VLSI Design Automation (Gold Medal) from NIT Hamirpur, India (2014).
Her research bridges device physics and computing, focusing on physics-informed modeling, device characterization, and circuit-to-system design of spintronic and emerging nano-devices for neuromorphic and unconventional computing. She brings expertise in magnetization dynamics, spin memories and oscillators, and spin textures such as skyrmions and vortices for energy-efficient architectures.
Beyond research, Dr. Shreya actively contributes to the global scientific community as Chair of IEEE Women in Engineering Denmark, Vice-Chair of IEEE CASS Denmark, and committee member of IEEE Women in Magnetism. She also serves as Co-Chair of DATE’s Emerging Memory track, as TPC member for ISQED, and as a speaker at several scientific events.
