Presentation title

Dynamics of orbital angular momentum in nonequilibrium solids

Kyoung-Whan Kim is an assistant professor at Yonsei University, Korea. He received his Ph.D degree in 2013 from POSTECH under the supervision of Prof. Hyun-Woo Lee. After graduation, he worked as a postdoctoral researcher at NIST and JGU Mainz under the supervision of Dr. Mark Stiles and Prof. Jairo Sinova, respectively. He then worked as a senior researcher at the Center for Spintronics, KIST, from 2018 to early 2024. He moved to Yonsei University in March 2024 as an assistant professor. His research focuses on theoretical spin and orbital transport, magnetization dynamics, and spintronic applications.
