Presentation title
Effect of disorder on magnetism and lattice dynamics of multifunctional magnetic Heusler alloys: insight from the first principles
Olga N. Miroshkina studied Physics at the Chelyabinsk State University from 2010 to 2016. Then she got a PhD position at the Condensed Matter Physics department there. During her PhD studying, she worked as a collaborator on four research grants and was a supervisor of two Junior Research Projects, and defended her doctoral dissertation in 2020. Since 2020, she has been working at the University of Duisburg-Essen as a PostDoc at the DFG-funded Collaborative Research Center/Transregio (CRC/TRR) 270 'Hysteresis design of magnetic materials for efficient energy conversion'. Her research area is the prediction of multifunctional magnetic materials and the fundamental understanding of their properties from first-principles modeling.
